Dental Implants Candidate
Has you had Dental Implants?
My dad hates his teeth, and I wish I could help him overcome what is a burden in his life. His teeth make him feel very self conscious and he has always dreamt of having dental implants, where they remove all of your real teeth and fit fake ones with screws into the gums.
I understand that this process will be very painful but I feel that he is the perfect candidate for this surgery and that it will improve his life dramatically. It breaks my heart that my dad, who I see as perfect, feels this way.
I was wondering if anybody has had dental implants and how much they cost? I know that not everyone will be charged the same price, but i’m just looking for a rough estimate so I can start saving for him.

You need to do a lot of research before you promise him anything. First of all dental implants and not painful. Dental implants can be very costly if you want all of his teeth replaced with them. You would be looking at about $3000.00 per tooth to replace it with and implant and then a crown. Do the math and you’ll see that a full mouth of implants and crowns can be around $80,000.00. There may be easier and less costly alternatives. Maybe a denture supported by implants. Maybe some of his teeth can be saved and partials or bridges can be done. He needs to have a consultation with a dentist. The sooner the better. Things will not get easier or cheaper the longer he waits.
